Nina

Hi, I’m Nina – but my friends call me Nina Drama.

Not because I’m a diva or anything… I’ve just had a bit of a dramatic start to life.

I was hurt, beaten, and chased, all because I was scared and trying to survive. When they found me, I was hiding in a garage, tied up in ropes, bleeding, and too terrified to move. I didn’t growl. I didn’t bark. I just shut down.

I’ve spent the last few months learning that people can be good. That the world can be safe. That food will come, that hands can be kind, and that there’s joy to be found in things like butt scratches, squeaky toys, and soft blankets.

I’m still young and still learning, so I’ll need someone who sees the whole me, not just where I’ve been, but who I’m becoming. Someone who’ll laugh with me, play with me, train with me, and grow with me. Someone who’ll see my potential and think, “Yes. This girl is worth it.”

I get a little excited around other dogs, but it’s not in a mean way. I just don’t always know how to channel my enthusiasm. I think I could really thrive with a big, calm dog brother to show me the ropes.

I’ve come so far. I’m ready for a home of my own. One that sees me for the survivor I am, but also for the soft, silly, loyal companion I’m meant to be.

If you’ve got love, patience, and a bit of humour, we just might be perfect for each other.
